is this a proposal of -
[1] inserting a mortuary, as in a rentable shopping unit space to be used as a mortuary in place of say a clothes shop, or
[2] exposing the embalming process to public view in front of shoppers on the concourse, or
[3] a self service, bring your dead body along and self embalm [and benefit from local cosmetic stores a bit of lippy], say for example your granny dies, you bring her down and pump it out…and fill it up….
[4] or holding funeral events in the shopping centre?
I purposefully didn’t provide this image any context as I thought it was quite interesting and thought provoking as it was. However, here is the little background. I found the photograph when I was helping my grandmother move house. We were sorting through her collection of photographs and in among all the old photos great-grandparents, unknown family members and travels was this picture. I think she took it on one of her trips to Southern Asia but I don’t know more specifically. I asked her if I coud have it as it provoked so many interesting scenarios – as you have pointed out.
